Changes to the ONGEA by-laws are often voted on during the organization’s annual conference and this year is no different. Several by-law changes have been discussed during ONGEA board meetings, but only one has been formally submitted.
"Article XV, A.1. Army Regions" has been recommended for revision. The by-law currently reads: "1. Army Regions a. Region 1 shall be comprised of the 37th Brigade Combat Team; b. Region 2 shall be comprised of of the 16th Engineer Brigade; c. Region 3 shall be comprised of the 73rd Troop Command. Region 4 shall be comprised of Fort Ohio; e. Region 5 shall be comprised of Joint Force HQ."
Recommended new verbiage follows: "The five Army National Guard Regions shall determined annually at the state conference. Regions are intended to represent the organizational structure of the Ohio Army National Guard, and may change due to transformation."
